The
music is a Midi conversion of the Prehistoric Tale music
from the Atari ST by Jochen Hippel. Midi conversion by
Oedipus. All DarkBASIC code by Richard Davey as always.
You can learn a lot from the source code and also see how
you could expand the game for 2 players - indeed all of
the graphics, variables and arrays are already set-up for
you! But I'll leave you to figure out the controls :-)

If I had had more time I'd like to have added more
features such as a high-score table, exploding jewels and
not used the nasty text command to display the score but
used graphics instead. But I don't have that time right
now and I don't want to wait any longer to release this.

The code is quite well commented and you'll see how I use
an array to track the columns progress and perform the
explode checking. This game could easily make it into 3D
with a little thought using my exact same routines.

If you like it or even hate it, drop me a mail. This is
likely to be the last release from us for the year 2000.
If that is the case - have a good Christmas everyone!

==========================================================
(c) www.darkforge.co.uk 2000
==========================================================
