EduGuru Maths was today given an official 5* accreditation by the Educational App Store and described as “overall, an app children will love and continue to use, certainly worthy of its 5-star rating and representing excellent value for money”.
The Educational App Store certification is an independent and rigorous assessment of an app's performance from a learning perspective and this 5* rating confirms that EduGuru Maths provides current and real learning content, combined with a fun learning experience.
The Educational App Store evaluate apps against specific criteria, and assess the aspects of the apps that make up an educational app and which are important from a learning perspective, such as content, relevance to the national curriculum, navigation and usability.
The assessment is undertaken by a practicing teacher, with experience in the relevant subject and age range the app caters for, and the certification is designed to provide parents and users with confidence in both the developer’s proficiency and in the learning value of the app.
Deborah Ascott-Jones, The Game Creators Marketing Director, said today, “We are delighted with the accreditation from the Educational App Store. The 5* rating will give parents the comfort of knowing the app is truly helping their 3-5 year olds learn basic maths skills, and the toddlers will have great fun playing and learning.”
EduGuru Maths is the first in a series of educational apps, developed and built by The Game Creators, to fully support the UK National Curriculum. EduGuru English for 3-5 year olds will be released later this month.
